Finnish telecom giant Nokia said that it has joined hands with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) to work together into a partnership to collaborate on futuristic technologies like data science, analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The two have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to use these technologies to make networks more efficient and reliable and provide better connectivity to its users.
A Nokia release reveals that “The collaboration focuses on making service delivery pre-emptive and more reliable based on data science, analytics and AI. AI here refers to intelligence shown by machines.
The collaboration will allow premium institute IIT Delhi to leverage Nokia’s technological leadership and expertise in communications networking to conduct research in these identified areas. The talented students and faculty of India’s premier institute will work on projects with Nokia’s top technical minds to explore ways to make networks more efficient and reliable.
